Murdoch predicts McCain will lose

Rupert Murdoch offered a dire prediction Wednesday for John McCain's chances in the general election.

He will lose in a landslide, the News Corp. chairman said at a California conference, according to Reuters.

"You have got the Obama phenomenon, Murdoch said. "You have got, undoubtedly, a recession … The average American is really getting hurt financially and that all bodes well for [Obama].

"You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country," Murdoch continued, referring to what he thinks will be an overwhelming victory for the Democratic presidential candidate.

It's all hype. Obama is not ready and will not lead us any where except to more war and more civil unrest. He can swing his stick and do his jig. It is amazing how he is always threating to whoop a white American citizen and wants to sit down and have dinner and a drink with a terrorist. Hillary would have been a much better choice. But no she's a woman. Sorry the dem party has lost my vote.

Even if republicans could bring back lincoln and reagan as vice president they will not win the next election. mccain is a fall guy in an unwinnable election for republicans. cant you get that thru your thick skull! and no im not a big fan of obama or hilary. i thought that all three candidates were(are) lemons. i have stated often i would prefer an empty chair to any one running now!

You people have to realize that Obama isn't some guy off the street. Just looking at his campaign strategy, you can tell he is one or two steps ahead.

I think he is saving his "ammo" for the real fight during the upcoming months. If you want to know what his plans are to change the country's direction, stay tuned. This is one man you do not want to under estimate.

McCain is no Bush. The degree to which he makes this clear during the election is just dependent upon party politics, platforms, and posturing.

If the Dems choose a Veep that doesn't threaten to pull some conservative support from them, then McCain will be free to completely distinguish himself from Bush. Otherwise, he may need to stay more "in the fold".

Should get interesting.

I actually like both Obama and McCain. I think that they are head and shoulders above the likes of Bush, Kerry, Clinton.
